In March 2014, ADVOCATE shared the news of the ICD-10 delay. Yesterday, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the long awaited rule finalizing the new compliance date of October 1, 2015. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says this deadline should provide the industry time to ensure their systems and business processes are ready.
The press release also states, CMS will implement comprehensive testing, including end-to-end testing in 2015.

As always, ADVOCATE will keep you updated on this and other issues impacting radiology as they become available.
